Job summary

World Central Kitchen is seeking a Community Outreach Manager to lead frontline operations, rapidly assemble and manage field teams, and ensure food aid reaches disaster-affected communities with dignity.

The role requires strong leadership, crisis response skills, and multilingual communication, with a two-year contract and travel to field activations worldwide. Location is field-based in the United States, with preferred sites near major airports.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred or 5+ years in management in fast-paced environments
• Fluency in English; additional languages (Spanish, French, Portuguese) desirable
• Willingness to travel and work in field settings with variable conditions

Responsibilities

• Recruit, train and lead community outreach teams in activation environments
• Respond to disaster areas within four hours, manage field operations
• Design and implement field response strategies under pressure
• Collaborate across departments to support activation needs
• Complete after-action reports and extract learnings for process improvement
• Engage communities with empathy, respect and cultural awareness
