Job summary

Kiewit is seeking a Field/Office Engineer to support field crews and office teams across multiple project sites in the United States, with relocation and travel as needed. The role combines field interpretation of drawings with takeoffs, estimations, and material planning.

Based in the Kiewit Industrial District, you will rotate through estimating offices and field assignments, developing career growth in a safety‑driven, collaborative environment that rewards initiative and reliability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Electrical, Mechanical, Civil Engineering, or related field.
• Associate’s degree in Construction Management or Electrical Engineering considered with relevant experience.
• Ability to travel and relocate as needed.
• Strong work ethic and commitment to safety and quality.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Team player who can work independently to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Field Operations: interpret drawings and specifications for field crews and craft; prepare work plans and packages; order and schedule materials.
• Office Engineering: perform takeoffs from drawings; generate change orders; provide field support and supervise subcontractor operations.
• Estimating: review data, complete plans/specifications reviews, and assist with bid preparations.
