Job summary

IT Link Now in Kendall West, FL is seeking a Field Network Technician to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair network infrastructure at client sites. You will work on-site with routers, switches, wireless access points, cabling, servers and peripherals while delivering high-quality service.

The role requires solid TCP/IP knowledge; CCNA/Network+ preferred, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Travel to client sites across Miami-Dade and Broward is expected; typical M-F 8:30-5:30 plus

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or equivalent in IT/Networking.
• 2-3 years of hands-on experience in network installation and maintenance.
• CompTIA Network+ or CCNA certification preferred.
• Proficient in TCP/IP networking principles.
• Strong understanding of network infrastructure components.
• Excellent troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Perform on-site installation of network hardware, including routers, switches, wireless access points, and cabling systems.
• Perform on-site installation of servers, computers, and various peripherals.
• Wire management and site visits.
• Conduct comprehensive network assessments and diagnostic evaluations.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex network connectivity issues.
• Install and configure network equipment according to client specifications and industry standards.
• Maintain detailed documentation of network installations, repairs, and maintenance activities.
• Perform regular network performance testing and optimization.
• Respond to emergency service calls and provide timely technical support.
• Collaborate with internal engineering teams to develop and implement network solutions.
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols and industry regulations during field operations.
• Provide technical guidance and support to clients during and after installation processes.
