Job summary

Black Box in New Jersey is seeking a Field Technician to manage day-to-day service operations of installations and deployments across client sites. You will coordinate with project managers and BOA teams, perform MAC requests, and ensure network infrastructure is configured and tested to meet SLAs.

The role requires 5 years data communications experience, knowledge of Cisco phones/switches/routers, and strong problem-solving and customer-facing skills.

Qualifications

• 5 years of experience in data communications.
• Basic knowledge of Cisco Phones, switches and routers.
• Basic knowledge of local and wide area networking.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day service operations of installations, delivery and deployment of technical resources.
• Coordinate with project managers and BOA teams to ensure project goals.
• Perform MAC requests within defined service levels and escalate as needed.
• Provide hardware break-fix services for network infrastructure and troubleshoot issues.
• Install and test network assets (switches, routers, firewalls) and ensure network performance.
• Assist with field installation, maintenance and on-site testing.
• Support completing projects efficiently with North American Commercial Services.
