Job summary

U.S. Bank is seeking a Mortgage Loan Originator to originate loans in an assigned non-bank territory with heavy travel. You will take applications, perform preliminary underwriting, and move files to processing and underwriting for approval.

The role requires NMLS registration, a high school diploma, and 2+ years in mortgage or real estate sales. Expect extensive field activity and strong customer-facing skills in a regulated environment.

Qualifications

• NMLS registration required with a clean criminal and credit record.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 2 years in Mortgage, Sales, or Real Estate.

Responsibilities

• Originate mortgage loans in the assigned territory.
• Take applications and perform preliminary underwriting reviews.
• Submit applications to processing and underwriting for approval.
• Follow up to secure documents for processing, underwriting, and closing.
• Spend at least 50% of time away from U.S. Bank locations for sales activities.
