Job summary
Lewis Services is seeking a Mobile Fleet Technician to perform preventive maintenance and repair on off-road equipment at various field locations in Virginia. The role focuses on reducing downtime, supporting field crews, and keeping company fleet assets operational and ready for use.
The ideal candidate has a minimum of 3 years in mobile mechanics or related roles, with strong mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical knowledge.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine scheduled preventive maintenance on off-road equipment.
- Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues using approved diagnostic tools.
- Complete minor to moderate repairs on company fleet assets.
- Identify and report safety or compliance concerns related to equipment.
- Document all field service work through internal work order systems.
- Coordinate with Fleet Coordinators on repair scheduling and shop assignments.
- Travel frequently to field locations and work independently with minimal supervision.
- Follow all company safety standards, OEM guidelines, and regulatory requirements.
