Job summary

Lewis Services is seeking a Mobile Fleet Technician to maintain and repair fleet equipment in the field across Houston and surrounding areas. You will routinely perform preventive maintenance, diagnose issues, and coordinate with fleet teams to minimize downtime.

Ideal candidates bring at least 3 years of mobile maintenance experience, a CDL, and bilingual Spanish skills. The role mixes field work with office coordination, with safety and regulatory compliance always prioritized.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Minimum of 3 years in mobile mechanic/equipment maintenance.
• Boom certification or 3+ years with booms.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine preventive maintenance on off-road equipment.
• Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues with approved tools.
• Complete minor to moderate repairs on fleet assets.
• Identify and report safety or compliance concerns.
• Document field service work in internal systems.
• Coordinate with Fleet Coordinators on repair scheduling.
• Support fleet projects and equipment upgrades.
• Assist operations with out-of-service units to reduce downtime.
• Monitor telematics and dashcam systems.
• Train crew leadership on maintenance practices.
• Support cost savings and warranty recovery initiatives.
• Travel frequently to field locations and work independently.
