Lewis Services is seeking a dedicated Mechanic to keep our vehicles, heavy equipment, and vegetation management machinery running safely and reliably so crews can focus on tree trimming and line clearing.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent plus mechanical experience (welding and hydraulics) with vehicles and machinery.
• Ability to read tape measures, diagrams, and blueprints.
• Valid driver’s license; CDL and medical certification as required for relevant vehicle operation.

Responsibilities

• Mount, assemble, and performance-check parts as directed by the Shop Supervisor.
• Diagnose problems or malfunctions in vehicles and heavy equipment using appropriate tools and experience.
• Perform routine preventative maintenance and inspections per Lewis policy and manufacturer recommendations.
• Complete repairs, replacements, and adjustments to restore proper operation.
• Ensure quality of installation and repairs on Lewis vehicles and equipment.
• Travel long distances as needed, including overnight stays.
