Job summary

Utilities Service, LLC seeks a Mobile Fleet Equipment Service Technician to perform preventative maintenance and repairs on our trucks, trailers and heavy equipment. You will diagnose engine, electrical, fuel and brake systems, document work orders in Fleetio, and comply with OSHA, EPA and DOT safety requirements while supporting storm response and out-of-state travel as needed.

On-site role with potential overtime; strong problem-solving and safety mindset are essential for this hands-on

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent with a specialized vehicle/equipment repair course.
• Knowledge of distribution electrical construction equipment preferred.
• At least three years' experience as a mechanic in automotive/trucking/heavy equipment.

Responsibilities

• Performs preventative maintenance inspections.
• Performs unscheduled repairs as needed.
• Repairs engine, electrical, fuel, brake, and exhaust systems and conducts field tests.
• Documents repairs and parts on work orders in Fleetio and related software.
• Follows safety provisions per OSHA/ANSI/DOT; complies with EPA regulations.
• Willing to travel for storm work and other duties as assigned.
