Job summary

Gilder Search Group seeks a diesel mechanic for field service across multiple sites. You will perform maintenance and repairs on heavy trucks and heavy machinery, travel to job sites, and provide emergency roadside service as needed.

Candidates must have at least 3 years of diesel experience, a valid driver's license (CDL-B preferred), own hand tools, and strong communication skills. High school diploma required; technical schooling a plus.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of diesel mechanic experience is required.
• Valid Driver’s License; CDL-B is required.
• Must provide own hand tools adequate for job functions.
• High School Diploma or equivalent; Technical schooling is a plus.
• Excellent verbal communication and ability to communicate with others.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance diagnostics and repairs to diesel equipment in mobile/field environment.
• Perform Emergency Road Services calls.
• Follow safety policies and Foreman instructions for daily tasks.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, braking, cooling, engine, transmission systems and more.
• Obtain parts and manage inventory; communicate estimates and approvals.
• Maintain service truck and complete safety inspections.
