Job summary

Salem Leasing is looking for a Mobile Diesel Mechanic to repair trucks, trailers and other vehicles. The role requires a high school diploma and five years of diesel maintenance experience, with tools and basic computer skills. CDL-B is preferred and a good driving record is important.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• Must have own hand tools and basic computer skills.
• Good driving record and proven work history.

Responsibilities

• Examine vehicles to determine extent of damage or malfunctions.
• Repair, reline, replace & adjust brakes.
• Review work orders and discuss work with supervisors.
• Follow checklists to ensure important parts are examined.
• Plan work procedures using charts, manuals & experience.
• Communicate with driver to obtain vehicle problem descriptions.
• Perform routine and scheduled maintenance services.
• Repair manual & automatic transmissions.
• Replace & adjust headlights.
• Comply with safety, DOT & OSHA guidelines.
• Adhere to company rules & regulations.
• Ensure cleanliness of shop & surrounding areas.
