The NC Department of Adult Correction is one of the largest state agencies with more than 14,000 employees. It is responsible for safeguarding and preserving lives and property through prevention, protection, and preparation as well as the care, custody, and supervision of all adults sentenced for violating North Carolina laws. The Field Minister Administrator is responsible for the statewide administration, oversight, coordination, and evaluation of the Field Minister Program. This program supports institutional operations, activities, and services that promote positive cultural change within correctional facilities and contribute to violence reduction at designated deployment locations. The Administrator provides leadership by coordinating the deployment of Field Ministers, collaborating with Admission and Deployment Committees, facility leadership, and Division staff, and ensuring program objectives are achieved. This role also serves as the Division’s Apprenticeship Liaison. The office location for this position will be determined based on the location of the individual selected to fill this position.
Salary Grade Range: $52,592.00 - $92,036.00
Applicants who possess the following skills are preferred: Demonstrated knowledge of correctional operations, offender programming, and institutional management practices. Documented experience in program administration, evaluation, and performance measurement. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and offender management/reporting systems Data Analysis and report preparation skills.
