Qualifications

• Associate degree in electrical/electronic technology or equivalent with hands-on electrical testing and maintenance experience.
• Qualified backgrounds include substation, metering, instrumentation, controls, power systems or electrical maintenance.
• Ability to read meters, test, program, and troubleshoot electrical equipment.

Responsibilities

• Read meters as required for field order and for cycle billing.
• Install, remove, change disconnect, and reconnect meters.
• Test single phase, network, and polyphase self-contained meters for proper operation and accuracy.
• Program meters.
• Perform credit and collections related orders including disconnect/reconnect for non-payment.
• Investigate irregular usage and energy diversion.
• Repair meters, meter sockets, and meter enclosures.
• Order, receive, ship, store, and inventory meter equipment.
• Investigate power quality problems and produce reports.
• Perform work from ladders and elevated platforms.
