Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Works orders for turn on, turn off, reconnect, change in service, and other meter-related service orders in the field.
• Distributes late notices, collects non-pay accounts, and collects returned checks.
• Checks for unauthorized usage and assists law enforcement as needed.
• Attends court proceedings when necessary.
• Replaces meter seals for commercial and residential customers.
• Communicates with consumers in the field about past-due statements and usage.
• Replaces broken or stopped meters for customers.
• Reports safety hazards or faulty equipment in the field.
• Verifies meter readings and assists in resolving discrepancies.
• Reads meters and documents billing information for audits.
• Acts as courier for business-related duties.
• Available for after-hours meter reconnections.
• Maintains confidentiality of consumer information.
