Job summary

Atlanta Gas Light is seeking a Meter Reader/Field Technician to record gas consumption for residential, commercial, and industrial customers. You will operate electronic remote reading devices mounted on company vehicles and perform basic maintenance and wiring of meters, while following safety protocols.

The role requires a valid Georgia driver’s license, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to work in various weather conditions.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Mechanical aptitude required.
• State driver’s license and ability to pass company driving test.

Responsibilities

• Download meter readings daily and enter route data.
• Maintain and update electronic equipment for accurate readings.
• Troubleshoot ERTs and meters, reprogram or repair as needed.
• Conduct meter inspections and paint as required.
• Ensure truck is stocked with tools and supplies.
