Job summary

Veolia in North America seeks a Meter Reader to support the SourceOne energy management team. You will collect meter information, maintain data accuracy, and nurture relationships with customers to ensure smooth utility operations.

Ideal candidates have a High School Diploma/GED with some energy or utility experience, strong PC skills, and excellent communication abilities to handle data and inquiries effectively.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Some energy, utility or related experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Directly reporting to Supervisor of Energy Management.
• Provide professional service to account relationships.
• Build customer relationships as a key member of management team.
• Gather and consolidate data from varied sources.
• Manage field meter data collection for multiple customers daily and monthly.
• Support field inquiry requests to resolve utility-billing issues.
• Coordinate and assist with field information for new customer accounts.
• Support researching and identifying field procedures for meter access authorizations.
• Proactively identify abnormal metering situations and advise the Energy Management team.
• Support administrative needs of the business, including accounting, reporting, the sales process, data entry, back-up phone support, and general administration.
