Job summary

The Planet Group is seeking a dynamic Merchant Success professional to grow our local merchant network in Austin and surrounding areas. You will travel to restaurants and retailers, lead training sessions and live demonstrations, and drive merchant activation from pre-launch through post-launch support.

In this role you’ll partner with Product, Operations, Go-to-Market, and Account Management to optimize market launches, monitor engagement, and deliver exceptional merchant experiences.

Qualifications

• 5-7+ years in merchant success, hospitality, field operations, or related areas.
• Proven ability to build authentic relationships with customers and partners.
• Experience leading trainings, workshops, or demonstrations.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Build trusted relationships with local merchants and staff.
• Serve as primary field representative for neighborhoods in the market.
• Visit restaurants and local businesses in the assigned area.
• Manage merchant launch lifecycle from pre-launch to post-launch.
• Conduct onboarding, product demos, and training sessions.
• Develop workshops, office hours, and community events.
• Monitor adoption, engagement, and retention; identify improvements.
• Collaborate with Product, Ops, GTM, and Account teams for launches.
