Job summary

United Natural Foods, Inc. is seeking a Retail Merchandiser to provide consistent, quality service at designated customer locations. The role involves stocking and merchandising products, supporting store remodels, executing continuity programs, and assisting on stretch projects.

Travel is required around Harrisburg, PA. The position reports to a Sr. Retail Merchandiser or Account Manager and requires strong organization, communication, and independent work.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, understand and implement planograms in store.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently with strong organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Read, understand and implement planograms in store; adjust sections as needed and report feedback on planogram compliance.
• Visit retailers on Home Store or Field Sales program to execute customer plans; provide feedback and follow-up.
• Rotate stock, remove out-of-code products, process merchandise returns and issue credits.
• Interpret internal reports and complete required paperwork accurately and timely.
• Sell promotions and programs; display products effectively and respond to customer product requests.
• Maintain effective business relations with customers and UNFI stakeholders via in-person interactions, calls, and emails to the sales team.
• Order products aligned with customer needs and display them in stores; assist with shelf tags and POS materials.
• Develop action plans on assigned projects with deadlines and budget.
• Engage customers in UNFI's Professional Services portfolio to strengthen relationships.
