Alexion, AstraZeneca Rare Disease is seeking a Medical Science Liaison (MSL) to support scientific objectives in the US. The role is field-based, focusing on building trusted relations with healthcare practitioners and KOLs across a defined territory.

You will manage territory engagement plans, communicate disease-state knowledge, and partner with cross-functional teams to inform medical strategy. Travel 3–4 days/week with additional office visits may be required; home-based office setup

Qualifications

• MD, PharmD, or PhD in biological sciences strongly preferred.
• Clinical experience in a relevant therapeutic area OR track record of success as an MSL.

Responsabilités

• HCP relationship management: evaluates territory to profile and identify HCPs to engage and build relationships with, including centers of excellence.
• Develops clear HCP engagement plans aligned with medical strategic goals and quarterly priorities.
• Gains HCPs’ trust by providing and communicating relevant scientific/medical information on company products and disease states.
• Disseminates HCP insights to inform medical strategy and builds strong external relationships.
• Keeps current with scientific knowledge within assigned products and therapeutic area, supports scientific exchange with external stakeholders.
• Demonstrates understanding of real-world evidence and HEOR, and discusses applicable research outcomes with HCPs.
• Ensures balanced clinical information sharing and supports externally sponsored research and clinical trials as appropriate.
