Job summary

Advantmed is seeking motivated Medical Records Technicians for a part-time, seasonal role requiring travel to various medical facilities. The position involves scanning patient records, organizing digital copies, and ensuring HIPAA compliance, with paid travel-related expenses where applicable.

The role requires a valid driver’s license, access to a car, and availability 08:00–17:00 in the local time zone. Familiarity with Word, Excel, and Outlook is desirable, along with EHR/EMR systems

Qualifications

• Must have valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
• Must own a car and active auto insurance; provide registration.
• Willing to drive up to 60–80 miles per trip.
• Internet access at home; basic PC skills.
• Available 08:00–17:00 in local time zone for facility visits.
• HIPAA confidentiality knowledge and data handling experience.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a record system for patient information and collect documents.
• Use electronic systems to collect, organize, and manage data.
• Ensure medical records are accurate, complete, and properly stored digitally.
• Create digital copies of paperwork and store records electronically.
• File paperwork and reports quickly and accurately.
• Ensure HIPAA standards and confidentiality guidelines are met.
• Interact with medical staff, healthcare providers, and other personnel.
• Assist with travel equipment as needed (laptop, scanners).
