Job summary

AdaptHealth is seeking a Medical Equipment Technician to deliver, set up, and support respiratory and home medical equipment, educating patients and caregivers to ensure safety and independence.

You will work primarily in the field, serving homes and clinics while adhering to HIPAA and safety standards. A high school diploma and valid driver’s license are required, with healthcare experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 1 year of healthcare technician, military service, delivery/field service with customer service interaction or related experience preferred.
• Senior level requires two years of relevant experience, including one year in a similar role.

Responsibilities

• Deliver, set up, and maintain respiratory and home medical equipment.
• Educate patients and caregivers on safe use, care, and troubleshooting of equipment.
• Respond to equipment issues and ensure HIPAA compliance and infection control standards.
• Perform routine maintenance and simple repairs on equipment.
• Complete orders and documentation accurately to support patient care and reimbursement.
