Field Medical Director, Interventional Cardiology (Remote)

Responsibilities include:

• Providing expert reviews for cardiovascular cases, including invasive/interventional procedures, to ensure medical necessity and high-quality care.
• Engaging in peer-to-peer discussions with treating providers to promote appropriate, evidence-based treatment decisions.
• Collaborating with clinical and leadership teams to support complex case management and decision-making.
• Guiding and mentoring initial clinical reviewers and participating in ongoing training to maintain high standards.
• Documenting communications and decisions accurately, and supporting research activities related to utilization management.

Qualifications:

• MD/DO/MBBS degree with an active, unrestricted medical license.
• Board certification in Interventional Cardiology or equivalent qualifications.
• Minimum of five years' experience in cardiology, with a focus on interventional procedures preferred.
• Strong clinical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Proficiency with medical review guidelines and healthcare regulations.

Technical Requirements: High-speed internet (>10 Mbps) and capability to connect directly to a home router.

This position is 100% remote, with flexible scheduling options, including part-time and full-time roles. Compensation ranges from $120 to $135 per hour, plus performance-based bonuses and comprehensive benefits.
