Job summary

Mechitronic Service USA in Sugar Grove, IL, seeks a Mechanical Service Technician to support customers across the United States, Canada and Puerto Rico. You will work on automated assembly and packaging equipment, performing troubleshooting, maintenance and proactive service with a strong customer focus.

Role requires autonomy, teamwork and knowledge of PLCs/HMI with a willingness to travel. Competitive base salary with benefits and performance bonus is offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor-equivalent technical degree in mechanical engineering or related field.
• 7+ years of field service experience in industrial automation preferred.
• Hands-on experience with automated assembly and packaging machinery.
• Strong mechanical knowledge including precision assemblies, pneumatics and transmissions.
• Ability to read mechanical drawings and manuals.

Responsibilities

• Perform on-site troubleshooting, diagnosis and repair of mechanical issues on automated equipment.
• Manage field interventions from assessment to repair and return to production.
• Perform mechanical adjustments, replacements, setup, changes and optimization.
• Support preventive maintenance and machine health checks.
• Provide clear intervention reports and recommendations.
