Job summary

Primoris Services Corporation is seeking a Field Mechanic II to diagnose, repair, and maintain a wide range of heavy construction equipment in the field. You will work independently, inspect vehicles, and perform preventive maintenance while following safety procedures.

You will read schematics, use diagnostic tools, and coordinate with supervisors on repair progress. Overtime and outdoor working conditions are common in this role, with opportunities to mentor less experienced mechanics.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of heavy equipment field service experience.
• Valid driver’s license; CDL may be required depending on vehicle assignments.
• Proficient in diagnosing and repairing complex mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems on heavy equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals.
• OSHA 10 or 30 certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repairs on excavators, loaders, dozers, cranes, trucks, and more.
• Conduct preventative maintenance inspections and service per schedules and manufacturer specs.
• Utilize diagnostic tools, software, and manuals to resolve complex issues.
• Repair engines, transmissions, hydraulics, electrical systems, and braking components.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance, parts used, and labor hours.
