Comfort Systems USA, Inc. is seeking a Mechanic to support mechanical service and retrofit work on active job sites in Maine. The role involves sheet metal modifications, piping tasks, gasket and valve work, and LOTO execution to ensure safe, compliant operations.

You will read and follow job documentation, install flanged couplings, perform torque checks, and keep the workspace clean and safe. Travel to construction sites is required as needed.

Qualifikationen

• Hands-on experience in mechanical service, piping, HVAC mechanical, plumbing, or industrial maintenance.
• Knowledge of flanges, gaskets, valves, and mechanical connections.
• Proper use of torque tools and other hand/power tools.
• Commitment to jobsite safety practices and hazard awareness.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and work safely on active sites.

Aufgaben

• Perform sheet metal modification/installation to support mechanical equipment and duct interfaces.
• Remove and replace gaskets; prepare flange faces and ensure seal surfaces.
• Conduct valve replacements and check operational functionality per requirements.
• Install flanged couplings and torque to specification using appropriate tools.
• Follow LOTO procedures to isolate energy sources and verify zero-energy state.
• Read job documents and complete tasks correctly the first time.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area and use PPE as required.
• Communicate status, material needs, and issues to supervisor.
• Use torque wrenches and standard hand/power tools properly.
• Assist with troubleshooting and basic mechanical tasks; escalate when needed.
