Job summary

EC Source Services, LLC is seeking an experienced field mechanic to join our team on a project in Hobbs, NM. This role involves performing vehicle and equipment servicing duties, routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs under supervision.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in diesel and gas engine diagnostics, along with welding skills. A commitment to safety and quality is essential as you will work with a blend of union and nonunion teams.

We offer a competitive hourly rate plus per diem with opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• Diesel and gas engines of all types, or other automotive electrical training or certification.
• Welding experience or certification is preferred.
• 3-5 years’ experience in heavy equipment and trucks is required.
• Must have a complement of mechanics hand tools.
• Experience with Transmission Line is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Work with users and vendors to diagnose and repair vehicles/equipment.
• Adjust work schedules based on changing priorities.
• Resolve maintenance and repair-related problems.
• Improve maintenance operations and reduce repair times.
• Ensure fleet vehicles/equipment are safe for service.

Skills

Electrical troubleshooting

Hydraulic troubleshooting

Proficient in welding

Diesel and gas engine diagnostics and repairs

Engine, transmission, differential rebuilding

Foundation Drill Rig and Crane experience

Education
