Job summary

Walsh Engineering & Production, Inc. is seeking a field mechanic to operate and troubleshoot compression and pump unit equipment from well sites around Farmington, NM. The role requires independent work, reliability, and the ability to work overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience in oil and gas field operations preferred.
• Ability to lift 70 lb with proper technique.
• Valid driver's license with a clean record and ability to maintain a DOT health card.
• Comfort working in difficult outdoor conditions (summer/winter/rain/wind).

Responsibilities

• Daily operation of compression and pump unit equipment on well locations and CDP’s.
• Service, maintain, and test engine shutdown systems.
• Troubleshoot compressors and natural gas engines and complete field repairs as needed.
• In-frame overhaul and rebuilds is a plus.
• Maintenance and proper use of company issued equipment including phone, vehicle, tools, computer, etc.
• Accurately maintain and submit required reports and logs.
• Monitor SCADA data and production.
• Minor maintenance on production equipment.
• Ensure an environmentally compliant site.
• Ensure safe working environment.
• Respond to call outs and on call scheduling as needed.
