Job summary

Murex Petroleum Corporation seeks a skilled Mechanic to perform repair and preventative maintenance on a wide range of field equipment. The position will be based in Tioga, North Dakota, working with field operations and engineers to keep production equipment running smoothly.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years of related field experience and OSHA safety training, and can diagnose, repair, and service diesel and natural gas engines, pumps, and compressors in a demanding oil and gas environment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of field experience in similar role
• Current OSHA safety training for oil and gas operations
• Knowledge of equipment applications: operating, maintaining, troubleshooting and repair

Responsibilities

• Repair and preventative maintenance on field equipment
• Preventative maintenance of fleet vehicles
• Coordinate contractors and ensure service quality of contractors used for repair and maintenance on equipment
• Work with production and operations to improve efficiency and reduce costs
• Assist in devising and implementing a formal repair and maintenance plan
• Carry out unplanned maintenance and repair as required
