Job Description:

Troubleshoot, service, repair, and maintain equipment assets including vehicles, trailers, aerials, and yellow iron.

General Requirements:

• Practice safety rules.
• Follow verbal and written instructions.
• Safe use of hand & power tools.
• Report to and assist immediate supervisor.
• Perform quality work as determined by project specifications.
• Accountable for all tools and materials at the end of your shift.
• Must work well as part of a team.

Functional Requirements:

• Ability to utilize various electronic diagnostic equipment and make repairs to electrical, hydraulic, air conditioning, gasoline, and diesel systems.
• Primarily in-shop work with possible mobile work, including overnight and out-of-state travel as needed.
• Work overtime as required.
• Work independently or in a team environment.
• Highly motivated and customer service driven.
• Work environment and work assignments are dynamic and may change frequently.

Qualification Standards:

• High school diploma or GED.
• Two-year technical, vocational, or trade school diploma/degree in truck and heavy equipment (desired).
• Fluid Power Society and/or ASE certifications (desired).
• Effective interpersonal and communication skills.
• Minimum of five years verifiable experience in automotive/truck maintenance.
• Strong safety awareness and compliance with safety rules.
• Post-offer drug/alcohol screening and physical evaluation.
• Must not pose a health or safety threat to self or others.
• Adherence to job site safety requirements (e.g., PPE, long sleeves, steel toe boots).
• Own tools required.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to pass physical exams and comply with drug/alcohol policies.
• Climb ladders, scaffolding, and work at heights or in confined spaces.
• Lift and carry up to 50 lbs., with assistance for heavier items.
• Stand or walk for long periods and work extended hours on uneven surfaces.
• Work while wearing respirators and PPE as required.

Work Environment:

• Located at industrial sites and fabrication shops.
• Work may involve uneven ground, confined spaces, and elevations.
• Exposure to outdoor elements, extreme temperatures, noise, and potential chemicals.
