Job summary

Building & Earth Sciences, Inc. is seeking a Construction Materials Testing Technician - Level I to perform field testing and observations on site, including sample prep, testing, and report documentation for soil, concrete, grout, mortar, and asphalt projects.

Requires a minimum of 6 months experience and an ACI Concrete Field Testing Technician Level I Certification, plus the ability to work night shifts, weekends, and travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience with sample preparation, collection and testing, field observations, and documentation of construction activities.
• Must pass relevant tests and maintain test records and reports.
• Ability to operate and calibrate field testing equipment safely.
• Ability to communicate test results clearly and professionally.
• Capability to drive a company vehicle and adhere to safety guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Receive, understand and execute written and verbal directions.
• Review specifications for civil and structural plans and identify applicable sections.
• Perform tests, general construction inspections and observations with supervision.
• Submit daily field reports documenting testing and field observations.
• Document non-conforming items to project supervision.
