Job summary

DIHO Consulting USA is seeking a Construction Materials Testing Technician in Freeport, TX to perform field testing of soils, concrete, asphalt, and pile monitoring for project compliance.

Candidates with ACI, NICET, or TxDOT certifications are preferred and a valid TWIC card is a plus. The role requires on-call availability, safety compliance, and timely reporting to clients and management.

Qualifications

• +3 years of experience in Construction Materials Testing.
• Must have dependable transportation; a truck is preferable.
• Must pass a DISA drug screen.
• Must pass a background check.
• TWIC card preferred.
• Physically capable of lifting heavy materials and equipment.
• Capable of maintaining an "On Call" schedule and willing to work obscure hours.

Responsibilities

• Perform field tests such as concrete testing (slump, air content, temp, unit weight, cylinders for compressive strength).
• Soil compaction testing using sand cone or nuclear density gauge.
• Proctor, Atterberg limits, sieve analysis and soil classification tests.
• Asphalt density testing and pavement core sampling.
• Pile monitoring during installation to document capacity, penetration and blow counts.
• Produce timely and detailed reports.
• Operate vehicle safely and follow safety procedures.
• Cooperate with technical team and share information across the organization.
• Build positive relationships with clients.
• Arrive on site on time and communicate with dispatch and onsite clients.
