Job summary

DIHO Consulting USA in Freeport, TX is seeking a Construction Materials Testing Technician to perform field testing of soils, concrete, asphalt, and pile monitoring to ensure project specifications are met. The role requires producing timely reports, adhering to safety procedures, and coordinating with dispatch and clients on site.

A minimum of 2 years' experience is preferred, with certifications such as ACI, NICET, or TxDOT being advantageous.

Qualifications

• +2 years of experience in Construction Materials Testing.
• Must have dependable transportation; a truck is preferable.
• Must be able to pass a DISA drug screen.
• Must be able to pass a background check.
• TWIC card preferred.
• Physically capable of lifting heavy materials and equipment.
• Capable of maintaining an "On Call" type schedule and willing to work obscure hours.

Responsibilities

• Perform field tests such as concrete testing (slump, air content, temperature, unit weight, casting cylinders).
• Conduct soil compaction testing using sand cone or nuclear density gauge.
• Perform Proctor, Atterberg limits, sieve analysis and other soil classification tests.
• Carry out asphalt density testing and pavement core sampling.
• Monitor piles during installation to document capacity, penetration, and blow counts.
• Produce timely and detailed reports.
• Operate vehicle safely and follow safety procedures.
• Follow company procedures and protocols.
• Cooperate with technical team and share information across the organization.
• Build positive relationships with clients.
• Be punctual and communicate with dispatch and onsite clients daily.
