Job summary

DIHO Consulting USA in Freeport, TX is seeking a Construction Materials Testing Technician to perform field testing of soils, concrete, asphalt, and to monitor piles. You will ensure compliance with project specs and produce detailed site reports.

Candidates should have 2+ years in CM testing, pass drug and background checks, and ideally hold ACI/NICET/TxDOT credentials. A valid TWIC is preferred and a truck for transport is a plus. On-call hours and irregular shifts may apply.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in Construction Materials Testing.
• Must have dependable transportation; a truck is preferable.
• Must pass a DISA drug screen.
• Must pass a background check.
• TWIC card preferred.
• Physically capable of lifting heavy materials and equipment.
• Capable of maintaining an on-call schedule and willing to work irregular hours.

Responsibilities

• Perform field tests: concrete testing (slump, air content, temperature, unit weight, cylinder casting).
• Soil compaction testing using sand cone or nuclear gauge.
• Proctor, Atterberg limits, sieve analysis, and soil classification tests.
• Asphalt density testing and pavement core sampling.
• Pile monitoring during installation to document capacity, penetration, and blow counts.
• Produce timely and detailed reports.
• Operate vehicle safely and follow safety procedures.
• Cooperate with technical team and share information across the organization.
• Build positive relationships with clients and dispatch daily communication.

DIHO Consulting USA is seeking applicants for the Construction Materials Testing Technician role in Freeport, TX. This role involves performing field testing of construction materials—including soils, concrete, asphalt, and pile monitoring—to ensure compliance with project specifications. Candidates with ACI, NICET, or TxDOT certifications are preferred.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform field tests such as:
  • Concrete testing (slump, air content, temperature, unit weight, and casting cylinders for compressive strength)
  • Soil compaction testing using sand cone or nuclear density gauge
  • Proctor, Atterberg limits, sieve analysis, and other soil classification tests (as applicable)
  • Asphalt density testing and pavement core sampling
  • Pile monitoring during installation to document capacity, penetration, and blow counts
• Produce timely and detailed reports
• Operate vehicle in a safe manner and follow our corporate safety procedures at all time
• Follow all company's procedures and protocols
• Cooperate with technical team and share information across the organization
• Build positive relationships with clients
• Arrive at the job site to which you are dispatched, on time each day
• Communicate with dispatch on a daily basis
• Communicate with onsite clients each day and relay any information to management

REQUIREMENTS
