Qualifications

• Obtain basic certifications applicable to the work performed
• Valid driver’s license if driving for ECS
• Good communication skills (verbal, written)
• Dependable, self-motivated, and detail-oriented
• Read maps, follow directions, interpret plans
• Basic math and data entry
• Read/write English; work with supervisors and clients
• Lift and carry equipment up to 85 lbs

Responsibilities

• Performs field observation, testing, and sampling of soil, aggregates, and concrete under supervision
• Assists with construction materials testing activities on project sites
• Communicates daily with contractors, technicians, and project managers
• Reports changing site conditions and additional testing needs to supervisors
• Prepares and submits daily field reports
• Supports basic calculations and data entry related to testing results
• Organizes and maintains field equipment
• Notifies supervisors of damaged or missing equipment
• Participates in project meetings with senior staff
• Performs other field and project support duties as assigned
