Job summary

Building & Earth Sciences, Inc. is seeking a Construction Materials Testing Technician - Level I to perform field tests and observations on civil projects.

You will prepare samples, collect and test materials, and document construction activities on site, ensuring accurate test results are communicated clearly to supervision. The role requires a minimum 6 months experience, ACI Concrete Field Testing Technician Level I certification, and the ability to work nights and weekends as needed.

Qualifications

• Must have HS diploma or equivalent and relevant field testing certification.
• Experience with field testing, sampling, and documentation.
• ACI Level I and nuclear gauge safety training are required.
• Understanding Proctor tests and USCS soil classification.
• Competency in One-Point Proctor testing in the field.

Responsibilities

• Perform tests, field observations and document results on site per spec.
• Receive, understand and execute written and verbal directions.
• Submit daily field reports detailing testing, inspections and observations.
• Calibrate and maintain equipment; operate a nuclear density gauge as needed.
• Communicate non-conforming items to project supervision.
• Travel to sites and work night shifts/weekends as required.
