Job summary

NOVA Engineering & Environmental is seeking a CMT Engineering Technician / Special Inspector to join our growing team in Kennesaw, Georgia. You will perform field testing and inspections on high-profile commercial, industrial, educational, healthcare, transportation, and infrastructure projects across the Atlanta metro area.

This role offers outdoor work on major construction sites, ongoing training, mentorship, and opportunities for advancement into senior technician, special inspector, project

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in construction materials testing or related field.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and project specifications.
• Strong communication and documentation skills.
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Perform field testing of soils, concrete, asphalt, aggregate, masonry, grout, mortar, and reinforcing steel.
• Observe construction activities and collect field data on active sites.
• Review construction plans and specifications for field observations and testing.
• Document testing results, observations, and site conditions using electronic reporting systems.
• Communicate testing results with project managers, engineers, contractors, and clients.
• Maintain and calibrate testing equipment.
• Safely work on commercial and heavy civil sites across the Atlanta area.
