Job summary

Alta Environmental & Infrastructure is seeking a dependable Construction Materials Field Technician to join our Geotechnical Engineering team. You will perform field testing, sampling, inspection, and documentation to verify compliance with project specifications and building codes.

The role involves work on commercial, residential, transportation, and infrastructure projects. Ideal candidates enjoy outdoors, have strong attention to detail, and prioritize safety, quality, and client service.

Qualifications

Field technician with experience sampling and testing soils on job sites and roadways.
Ability to read and interpret project specifications and codes.
City of Phoenix certified tester or ability to obtain certification within 6 months.

Responsibilities

Oversee Post Tension Inspections including pad/trench certification and pre-slab checks.
Perform ATTI certified tests in the field.
Communicate with clients regarding project needs.
Manage field equipment.
Follow OSHA and company safety guidelines.
Adhere to Alta Southwest company policies.
Complete in-house training as required.
Travel locally during the business day, with some overnight travel possible.
