Job summary

Vector Talent Solutions is seeking an experienced Materials Manager for a major Southern Ohio infrastructure project. The role leads field materials operations, coordinating with project management, procurement, vendors and field crews to ensure materials are available when needed on site.

You will oversee Materials Coordinators and yard activities, manage receiving, inspecting, storing, and tracking materials, and maintain accurate inventory throughout the project lifecycle while upholding

Qualifications

• Heavy construction or infrastructure project materials management experience.
• Leadership of field materials personnel.
• Familiarity with material tracking, receiving, and inventory reconciliation.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day field materials operations and supervise materials personnel supporting the project.
• Oversee Materials Coordinators, Materials Representatives, and yard activities.
• Manage receiving, inspection, staging, storage, kitting, issuing, and tracking of construction materials.
• Coordinate material requirements with project management, construction leadership, procurement, vendors, and field crews.
• Maintain accurate inventory and material tracking throughout the project lifecycle.
• Verify incoming materials against purchase orders, packing lists, bills of material, and project requirements.
• Monitor material availability and identify shortages or delivery issues that could impact the construction schedule.
• Ensure accurate transactions and reporting within the project's material management system.
• Establish and maintain safe, organized, and efficient field material operations.
