Job summary

Ohio Concrete Maintenance is seeking a strong Project Foreman to lead field crews on bridge, heavy highway, structural concrete, and DOT-related projects. This hands-on leadership role requires running work in the field, keeping crews productive, coordinating daily plans, and ensuring work is completed safely, on schedule, and to spec.

The right candidate will be a working Foreman who can lead from the front, manage crews and subcontractors, read plans, solve field problems, and step in to keep

Qualifications

• 5+ years of heavy highway, bridge, DOT, structural concrete, or related civil construction experience.
• Experience leading crews or serving as Foreman or senior field lead.
• Ability to read plans, specs, elevations, and field drawings.
• Strong safety practices around traffic, bridges, heavy equipment, and active jobsites.
• Willingness to travel regionally and work nights or adjusted schedules when needed.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily field operations on bridge, heavy highway, culvert, and DOT projects.
• Supervise laborers, operators, crew members, and subcontractors.
• Coordinate daily work plans, manpower, materials, tools, and site logistics.
• Read and interpret plans, specs, elevations, and DOT requirements.
• Keep crews productive, safe, and aligned with project goals.
• Run toolbox talks and reinforce safe practices on active sites.
• Track progress, issues, and material needs; communicate updates to leadership.
• Coordinate with inspectors and project leadership; mentor less-experienced crew members.
