Actalent in Cary, NC is seeking a Construction Inspector I to perform field and laboratory testing of construction materials, interpret plans, and document findings in daily reports. Qualifications

• Experience in construction materials testing.
• Ability to read and interpret construction plans and blueprints.
• Willingness to travel to project sites and work variable hours.
• Capable of performing physically demanding field tests and handling equipment up to 80 pounds.
• Strong attention to detail and accurate reporting of results.

Responsibilities

• Perform construction materials testing in accordance with industry standards and protocols.
• Conduct field inspections of materials to verify compliance with project specifications.
• Document test results, site conditions, and observations in daily field reports.
• Read and interpret plans/blueprints to determine testing locations and criteria.
• Communicate results and required actions with project personnel and supervisors.
• Travel to project sites using a company vehicle and work outside regular hours as needed.
• Maintain testing equipment and follow safety procedures in field and lab environments.
