Job summary

Advanced Infrastructure Design Inc. is seeking a Materials Inspector to support transportation and infrastructure projects across New Jersey and nearby regions. This hands-on role combines field and laboratory work to build long-term technical expertise in construction materials inspection.

Ideal candidates have construction or inspection experience, can travel to job sites, and are committed to safety and quality on active projects. Competitive hourly pay and benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Experience in construction inspection or materials testing preferred.
• Familiarity with asphalt and concrete operations is a plus.
• Ability to travel to job sites with a valid driver’s license.
• Basic computer skills for reporting and documentation.
• Industry certifications are a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Perform field inspection and testing of asphalt, concrete, soils, and aggregates.
• Conduct roadway and plant inspections per project requirements.
• Assist with sampling, density testing, and coring coordination.
• Accurately document test results and field observations.
• Communicate findings with engineers, project managers, and lab staff.
• Follow ASTM, AASHTO, and project-specific procedures.
• Maintain safety and quality on active construction sites.
