Job summary

Kiewit is seeking a Material Coordinator to provide project-specific support for material management at the jobsite. You will assist the Material Manager on field activities, coordinate receipt, storage, and issuance, and help address site challenges on active projects.

The role requires interaction with construction staff, relocation for long and short-term field assignments, and proficiency with material handling software. Long-term opportunities and travel are expected.

Qualifications

• BA degree or 2+ years in industrial construction related role.
• Experience with advanced material handling software and databases.
• Introductory knowledge of site purchasing and its impact on material management.
• Strong project goals understanding and contribution.
• Basic knowledge of contract flow-downs for suppliers/subcontractors.
• Ability to relocate for long/short-term field assignments.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Promote a safety-first mentality and culture.
• Control receipt, storage, and issuance of project materials.
• Assist in mobilization/demobilization on projects.
• Support Material Manager on field material handling.
• Prepare and distribute material management reports (Daily Doc, OSD&E, MRR, PO).
• Promote material control plans and procedures.
• Perform receiving and processing on varying project sizes.
