Job summary

Kiewit is seeking a Materials Coordinator to support project material flow from procurement to installation. You will work with Procurement, Construction, Warehouse Operations, Logistics, Suppliers, and Project Management to keep materials available when needed for project execution.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in materials management, logistics or procurement.
• Strong organizational and analytical abilities with problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Track materials from purchase order release through delivery, receipt, storage and issuance.
• Coordinate with Procurement, Construction, Engineering, Suppliers and Logistics to align with schedules.
• Monitor material deliveries and flag shortages or delays.
• Assist receiving by verifying quantities against orders and shipping docs.
• Support inspections and resolve discrepancies, damaged shipments, and inventory issues.
• Maintain accurate inventory records, locations and transaction data.
• Perform inventory audits, cycle counts and reconciliations.
• Coordinate storage, preservation, handling and distribution of materials.
• Prepare material status and inventory reports and other project docs.
• Support warehouse operations and material issuance processes.
• Help resolve logistics and material control issues and ensure safety compliance.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and inventory optimization.
