Job summary

Kiewit is seeking an Entry Level Material Coordinator to support project material management at the jobsite and may relocate for field assignments. The role involves interaction with construction staff, inventory control, and use of advanced software.

Long-term relocation and short-term field work are required to support projects in Cayuga, IN and West TX locations. The candidate will assist the Material Manager, prepare reports, and help implement material control procedures to ensure on-time

Qualifications

• BA degree or 1–3 years in industrial construction related role.
• Ability to manage advanced material handling software/databases.
• Introductory knowledge of site purchasing and its impact to material management.
• Understanding project goals and how to contribute to those goals.
• Knowledge of prime contract flow downs for suppliers and subcontractor terms and conditions.
• Ability to track equipment, materials, trends, and forecasts.
• Skills in risk evaluation, mitigation and claims management.
• Strong leadership, management and teamwork.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Promote safety-first mentality and culture.
• Control receipt, storage, and issuance of project materials.
• Assist in mobilization/demobilization efforts.
• Assist Material Manager on field handling activities.
• Prepare and distribute material management reports (Daily Doc, OSD&E, MRR, PO).
• Promote material control plan and procedures to project team.
• Perform receiving and processing on varied size projects.
