Job summary

Christensen Inc. in Seattle, WA is seeking a Maintenance Technician to oversee equipment maintenance and facility upkeep, with 50% travel to customer sites across WA, OR and ID.

The role involves operating power washing and parking lot striping gear, plus safety adherence and record-keeping. Requirements include a high school diploma with a technical certification or apprenticeship in mechanical, electrical, or industrial engineering and at least two years of maintenance experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with a technical certification, diploma, or apprenticeship in mechanical, electrical, or industrial engineering.
• At least 2 years of maintenance experience.
• Strong understanding of electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
• Ability to learn basic construction skills such as framing, drywalling, trim work.
• Strong problem-solving and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform customer Site Visits throughout Washington, Oregon and Idaho two times per location per year using power washing and parking lot striping equipment.
• Conduct routine maintenance on company owned equipment, properties and offices to ensure they are in optimal working condition.
• Troubleshoot and resolve electrical, mechanical, and other equipment problems to maintain production operations.
• Ensure equipment meets safety and performance standards and maintain logs and records.
• Take ownership of the preventative maintenance program, including coordinating scheduled maintenance such as cleaning, lubrication, and inspections.
• Identify and evaluate process improvements or upgrades to increase efficiency, improve quality, or reduce costs.
