Job summary

Capital Region Water seeks a Field Maintenance Worker I to perform semi-skilled maintenance and operation tasks at the Advanced Wastewater Treatment Facility and along the Harrisburg collection system.

The role involves handling pumps, valves and mechanical equipment, using hand and power tools, and following safety protocols. A High School Diploma or GED is required; on-site work at multiple locations is expected.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Combination of skills, education and experience with wastewater collection systems.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain force mains, diversion and flood control chambers and related wastewater infrastructure.
• Work at various locations along the Harrisburg collection and conveyance system and treatment facility.
• Perform semi-skilled maintenance and repair work.
• Complete tasks safely, efficiently, and on schedule.
