Job summary

AtWork Personnel is seeking a dependable and mechanically inclined Mobile Storage Maintenance Technician for an established equipment rental company in the Dallas area. This role is responsible for maintaining, repairing, inspecting, and preparing mobile office trailers and storage units for customer use.

Responsibilities include performing maintenance and repairs, painting and caulking, tire checks, powering sources, and documenting work orders.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Valid driver's license is required.
• Previous maintenance, repair, or construction experience preferred.
• Basic knowledge of hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment.
• General construction and repair skills.
• Ability to read and complete work orders and basic documentation.
• Basic verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong teamwork, customer service, and time-management skills.
• Ability to use basic computer systems and technology.
• Able to lift up to 45 lbs.
• Dependable, safety-conscious, and able to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic maintenance and repairs on mobile offices and storage units, including flooring, walls, roofs, doors, windows, frames, and leaks.
• Complete painting, caulking, trim work, and replacement of damaged materials.
• Inspect tires, check tire pressure, and verify wheel lugs.
• Connect mobile offices to power sources when needed.
• Complete equipment repairs and modifications according to manufacturer specifications and applicable building codes.
• Travel to customer locations to help set up office trailers and assist delivery drivers when needed.
• Complete work orders and accurately document labor and materials used.
• Perform inbound and outbound equipment inspections.
• Safely operate a forklift to move equipment and materials.
• Install and remove equipment accessories as required.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe shop and yard.
• Keep tools and supplies properly stored and report supply needs to the supervisor.
• Assist customers with equipment questions and demonstrate equipment when needed.
• Complete assignments accurately, on time, and within budget.
