Job summary

County of Riverside’s Department of Flood Control is hiring multiple Maintenance and Construction Worker (MCW) positions in Riverside. Under supervision, perform field maintenance or construction tasks using hand and power tools, trucks and other equipment.

Duties include road and flood control construction, fence building, weed abatement, signing, trimming, and operating light motorized equipment. Requires one year of related experience and a valid California Driver's License.

Qualifications

• One year of construction or field maintenance work.
• Ability to operate light trucks and related equipment.
• Possession of a valid California Class C driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Construct and maintain roads, fencing, flood control walls, levees, and culverts.
• Perform work at refuse sites; spray and cut weeds; patch holes in roads; clear channels.
• Install signs; mix and pour concrete; operate signs and light equipment.
