Job summary

Warren CAT in Texas seeks a Machine Field Technician II to deliver high-quality repair service on heavy equipment, respond to customer needs with care, and maximize value of work performed.

Responsibilities include completing jobs on time, processing paperwork, removing/installing parts, diagnosing issues, and mentoring teammates. A valid GED, CDL eligibility, and ability to work varied shifts are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED, or 3–5 years related experience.
• Ability to read and comprehend instructions and write simple correspondence.
• Ability to present information effectively in one-on-one and small groups.
• Clean driving record; CDL within 90 days; must be 21+ to operate field vehicle.
• In-depth knowledge of hand tools, air tools, measuring tools, laptops, diagnostic software, cranes and rigging equipment.
• Must be certified in air-conditioning.
• Flexibility for shift work, overtime and on-call.
• Must obtain or possess adequate tooling to perform duties.
• Pass Work Steps assessment.

Responsibilities

• Complete assigned jobs and meet flat rate times.
• Process related paperwork and access required databases accurately.
• Remove and install parts; disassemble and assemble components; test and adjust assemblies.
• Provide accurate information to management for quoting.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot problems; recommend repairs and perform critical machine and engine repairs.
• Test and verify correct operation after repairs and adjustments.
• Apply general failure analysis to determine proper diagnosis.
• Mentor Machine team members.
