Qualifications

• Experience interacting with or communicating with members of the public.
• Four-year degree from an accredited college or university, preferred.
• Experience conducting investigations preferred.
• Experience working with individuals with mental illness, intellectual or developmental disabilities, or physical disabilities preferred.

Responsibilities

• The Inspector conducts on-site inspections and investigations related to abuse, neglect, and exploitation in long-term care facilities.
• Handles testimony at hearings or court proceedings to provide information on policy, findings, or activities.
• Writes detailed reports documenting deficiencies and corrective actions.
• Reviews evidence, establishes priorities, and ensures proper chain of custody in investigations.
• Maintains regular and predictable schedule and performs duties as assigned.
